European glass bottle tops had long been a simple piece of (basically unhygienic) foil which, once pierced, resulted in an unsealed bottle, open to the air and susceptible to contamination.

Captive Closures designed, patented and developed this disarmingly simple re-usable cap that clips to an opened Milk bottle allowing the bottle to be sealed again and again very easily.
